Hello friends, I will share with you my experiences about moz spam score which is a subject I have frequently seen these days. I struggled for months to drop this damn score and finally managed to reduce it.

What is Moz’s Spam Score?

Moz spam score is the scoring given to your site according to some criteria determined by moz.com. The more important the DA / PA value is, the more important is the Spam score. Although some friends say Spam points are insignificant, let’s not fool each other. Nobody wants to advertise on a site with 60–70% spam score. Nobody wants to buy a site with a high spam score. In addition, nobody wants to see a black mark on the site they work for. The spam score of my site has increased up to 61% due to some of my unknowing works. If you want to lower your spam score, you cannot find a better article than this.

What did I do to reduce the spam score ?

1- Although I had 100 articles on my site, I was getting 1000 index in google. I entered 3–5 tags in 1 article, I removed all unnecessary tags. I dealt with this situation a lot but I saw a lot of benefits

2- I added a privacy policy to my site.

3- I added a visible contact email

4- I removed unnecessary external links

5- I edited the articles, if there was copy content, I cleaned them

6- I fed the articles with longer and visual content. In this way, my PA value increased to 34

7- I removed all bad links with high spam score with Disavow tool (I removed nearly 130 links. Oh my god)

8- My pagespeed value was below 50% and I made 90–100% by working

9- I added social media exit links and provided links to my site from social media accounts.

10- I tried everything to prove that my site is not spam (this site is not spam bro,why not reduce it !)

what is missing ?

After doing all this, my spam score still hasn’t dropped. While I was wondering where I made a mistake, I sent an email to moz.com. They came back with an answer explaining the specific criteria below.

Although I applied all the criteria in the reply they sent, my spam score did not decrease again, I was very nervous about this situation. Then I thought of the backlinks I lost, I had blocked 130 links, this will have a big impact on google. Then I bought a few backlink packages from the forum and after 1 month my website was updated, the spam score dropped to% 1, I opened a clean page for myself.

Happy ending

After doing all this, the rise of my website was incredible.

Spam Score Breakdown

1–30% Low

31–60% Medium

61–100% High

Criteria that tend to increase spam score

The most important of the 27 criteria that determine the spam score

1- Long site names and numbers

2- Domains with extension such as info, .cc, .pl, etc.

3- Lack of social media connections

4- Lack of contact information

5- İf you are not spam why don’t you have an email address

6- Lack of privacy policy

7- Trash backlinks received from sites with high spam score

8- Why is there no SSL certificate?

9- Google font mismatch

10- Use of Excess Meta Keywords

11- Insufficient number of backlinks of large websites affects spam score

These criteria are not spam alone. Since spammy sites have these criteria, they are the criteria that have a high tendency to spam. When a few of them come together, your spam score starts to increase.
